NAAPNET is the North American Alliance of Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors, and was first conceptulized in 2004 by Dr. Eugene Woltering of Louisiana State University in New Orleans. |
Our primary purpose is to support the North American support groups, to assist and encourage in the development of additional support groups, and to organize and facilitate educational events, like the Annual Patient Conference held in the fall each year. Our hope is that through these actions we will ultimately benefit the patient who has been diagnosed with carcinoid or other related neuroendocrine cancers. |
A major goal of NAAPNET is to become a resource the North American support groups, their members, and any patient in North America can turn to for assistance. NAAPNET has recently officially become a 'one year old'. We are still developing. To do this NAAPNET needs the input of all the North American local groups. What are your suggestions, your opinions ... and would you like to volunteer to help NAAPNET? |
This is about everyone working together. Each individual group has its own dynamics and its own culture -- and that's part of what makes the the North American
Carcinoid and the Related Neuroendocrine community in North America so rich and diverse. |
