Connecticut Carcinoid Initiative (CCI)
The Connecticut Carcinoid Initiative (CCI) was established in December 2004 to make health care providers and the public throughout the state of Connecticut more aware of and sensitive to the symptoms of Carcinoid tumors and Carcinoid syndrome and the treatment options available and thus reduce the number of misdiagnoses of Carcinoid patients and enable earlier detection and treatment, thus enhancing patient quality of life and survival. It is also intended to provide support to those with Carcinoid cancer and their care givers.
CCI meets at 2PM on the second Sunday of each month in the Commissioners Conference Room at the Connecticut Veterans Home, 287 West St. Rocky Hill CT. Further info may be obtained from the CCI website, http://www.connecticutcarcinoidinitiative.com/ or the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation website, http://www.carcinoid.org/. Contact:
